Yes, it’s true. Along with the website we are working on our Facebook page. It’s almost set to go, just a little more content to add. It’s going to be a great place for us to showcase our work – up close and person, and as it happens. The shots will be raw and unpolished so you’ll get to see the real work we do.

Strathmar’s New Website

That’s right, the new site is in the works. We are expecting it to launch around mid to late November. The look and feel is totally different – we think you are going to like it. We are going to have a portfolio section where we will display past projects, but keep your eye on this blog for real-time updates with pictures. We will also be posting them on our Facebook page (yeah, Facebook. That’s coming too!).

Strathmar Trenching has all the equipment for any job big or small. We specialize in premium landscaping projects where quality and attention to detail matters, specifically; Irrigation and Drainage Systems, Landscape Construction, and Snow and Ice Removal. Of course we take on many other projects. We are well equipped to handle almost any outdoor project.

Trenching and Cable Plowing: It’s in our name, it’s what we do. We have trenchers of all sizes – you can rent them (with or without an operator) or we can turn-key your trenching or cable plowing project for you. No trenching project s too big or to small for us.

Equipment Rental: Over the years we’ve built up a fleet of landscaping equipment. We’ve got state-of-the-art bulldozers, tractors, excavators, seeders, trenchers and much more. We supply operators if you need them and of course we deliver to your site.

Anything Else Outside: We’ve done a wide variety of large and small jobs that vary widely. If it’s outside we can do it. Give us a call and we will drive out to see you for an estimate.

My name is Carter Cullen and I started Strathmar Trenching in 1996. I was the Assistant Greens Keeper at a local golf course and I was put in charge of finding an irrigation and drainage company to help us with the new 18 holes we were constructing. All the companies I found were expensive and I just wasn’t convinced I was going to get the quality I was looking for. So, I decided to buy the equipment I needed and do it myself. And with that, Strathmar Trenching was born.

Today Strathmar Trenching has become one of Ottawa’s top landscape construction companies. We specialize in large landscaping projects, including; irrigation and drainage, sports field construction, splash pad construction, commercial and estate landscaping, and snow removal. We specialize in niche jobs for hard-to-please customers – golfers, soccer players, children, parents – and we have a meticulous reputation for making our customers happy.

We have always specialized in projects that people get close up and personal with. Golfers hit wedges from lush fairways into perfectly-constructed inviting greens. Children run and play on splash pads, without a care in the world, dodging jets of water shooting up, down and every which way. Soccer players slide tackle their opponents on a smooth blanket of thick grass. Families enjoy their perfectly-manicured backyard on lazy Sunday afternoons.

Today we operate under the same principles as when I started the company: do great work, and do it for a good price. I’ve kept the business focused on projects that require a green thumb sort of speak. We work on projects that will be ran on, splashed on, or even just stared at. We thrive when attention to detail is paramount. Whether we are building a sand bunker, constructing a school playground or seeding a football field, we finish the job so that it’s just right for people to enjoy.
